Mendocino Purps, also known as Mendo Purps or The Purps, originates from Mendocino County in Northern California. It gained recognition by securing a spot in High Times' Strains of the Year in 2007. Initially available only as a clone, BC Bud Depot developed a stable cross to produce seeds of The Purps for wider accessibility.

This cannabis strain thrives both indoors and outdoors, reaching heights of 3-4 feet indoors and 6-8 feet outdoors by harvest time. It typically flowers within 8-9 weeks, displaying medium-thick leaves that transition from green to purple as the plant matures. The flavor is often described as a blend of caramel coffee and woody pine, providing a unique and satisfying taste.
